Berry Bliss Trifle

Berry Bliss Trifle

Layered, Loaded & Lookin’ Like Dessert Royalty

Let’s get one thing straight—this ain’t your grandma’s church potluck trifle. This is the Berry Bliss Trifle, and it came to SLAY, not to play.

We’re talkin’ luscious whipped cream, thick cream cheese layers that flirt with your fork, juicy berries that bring the drama, and soft cubes of cake that soak up all that goodness like the main character they are. Each layer hits like a sweet scandal—rich, smooth, and just messy enough to keep it interesting.

You want light? This isn’t it. You want boring? Swipe left.
This dessert is decadent, showstopping, and dangerously easy to make. It’s got just the right balance of creamy, fruity, and oh hell yes.

Perfect for holidays, birthdays, or whenever you need to shut the room up with a spoonful. And the best part? You don’t even have to turn on your oven. Just whip, layer, chill, and serve with a side of attitude.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cake or angel food cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping, thawed

  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves or sauce (optional)

Directions

  • Make the Whipped Cream Layer:
In a bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  • Prepare Cream Cheese Layer:
In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping and half of the whipped cream you just made. Set the rest of the whipped cream aside for layering.
  • Assemble the Trifle:
In a large trifle bowl or glass dish, begin with a layer of cake cubes.
Spoon a layer of cream cheese mixture over the cake.
Add a drizzle of strawberry preserves (if using).
Sprinkle a layer of strawberries and blueberries.
Add a layer of the reserved whipped cream.
Repeat layers until you reach the top of the dish, finishing with whipped cream.
  • Top It Off:
Arrange sliced strawberries in a flower or fan pattern and scatter blueberries over the top.
  • Chill:
Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving to let the layers meld beautifully.

Notes

  • This isn’t just a trifle it’s a triple threat: sweet, fresh, and absolutely irresistible. Serve cold and let the compliments stack up like the layers.
Want a chocolate twist? Add a drizzle of chocolate ganache between layers or a few chocolate shavings on top.
