kcalIngredients (Seafood Boil)
2 lbs snow crab legs
1 lb large shrimp, shelled (tail-on) and deveined
1 lb mussels, cleaned
1 lb lobster tail chunks (optional)
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
6 small red potatoes, halved
3 ears of corn, cut into thirds
1 lemon, cut into wedges
4 cloves garlic, smashed
1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 bay leaf
10 cups water (enough to cover seafood)
2 tbsp salt
- Spicy Chili Crisp Butter Sauce
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
6 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
2 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp chili crisp (with the good crunchy bits)
1 tbsp brown sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
- Step 1: Boil the Potatoes and Corn
– In a large stockpot, add water, salt, smashed garlic, bay leaf, Old Bay, and Cajun seasoning.
– Bring to a boil and add potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes.
– Add corn and sausage. Cook for 5 more minutes. - Step 2: Add the Seafood
– Add snow crab legs and lobster tail (if using). Cook for 5 minutes.
– Add shelled, tail-on shrimp and mussels last. Cook for 3–4 minutes, until shrimp turn pink and mussels open.
– Drain and transfer everything to a large tray or platter. - Step 3: Make the Spicy Chili Crisp Butter Sauce
– In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
– Stir in Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, brown sugar, chili crisp (don’t skip the crunchy bits!), and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
– Sprinkle in fresh parsley. Reserve a bowl for dipping—you’ll want it. - Step 4: Toss and Serve
– Pour half the sauce over the seafood boil. Toss gently to coat everything like it’s red carpet ready.
– Serve hot on black platters with extra sauce, lemon wedges, and something crusty to mop up that flavor bomb.
Notes
